Option 1: open it in your browser with TS Sheets (no account)
- Open TS Sheets.
- Click Open or drop the .xlsx file onto the grid.
- Edit it like Excel: formulas, formatting, multiple sheets.
- Click Save .xlsx (or Ctrl+S) to download the edited file.
The file opens inside your browser and is never uploaded to any server, so it works for sensitive data such as payroll or customer lists.
Option 2: just view it
If you only need to read the data, the document viewer shows every sheet instantly. It is the quickest option on a phone.
Option 3: other free alternatives
- Excel for the web: free with a Microsoft account; the file is uploaded to OneDrive.
- Google Sheets: free with a Google account; the file is uploaded to Drive.
- LibreOffice Calc: a free desktop program you install.
